Cameron has yet to show how Scotland benefits from Union

IN his Edinburgh speech the Prime Minister did not, as some reports have suggested, offer more devolved powers to Scotland if independence was rejected in the referendum.

The commitment he made was only being willing to consider "giving" (note the inference) further powers to Scotland, but there was no promise to do so and no details ("Salmond demands details on extra Holyrood powers", The Herald, February 17).
