We reported last Sunday that Labour MSP Siobhan McMahon had been removed by party leader Johann Lamont as an aide.

In fact, Ms McMahon withdrew from this position. She was not removed.

We also reported that a sex worker had accused Ms McMahon of being aggressive at a policy meeting. Ms McMahon categorically denies the accusation.

We are happy to set the record straight on both matters.
