Holyrood would be better than Westminster for Berwickers

I READ with interest Michael Hamilton's comments about the defence of Scotland in the event of independence from England (Letters, May 14).

If that occurs, the current border line should be deviated to south of Berwick-upon-Tweed (The River Tweed is a natural boundary), returning the town to its rightful position as the most southerly Scottish town, and, reuniting it with Berwickshire. It is currently in Northumberland.
