THE correspondence regarding GP practice continues to pile up (Letters, April 27, 28 & 29).

Meanwhile the despair frustration and angst of doctors and patients remains unresolved.

I spent the last three years as a public representative for a local community council at meetings where we examined the minutiae of the present difficulties

We were shown various innovative solutions by Greater Glasgow, Forth Valley and Western Isles health boards regarding services, with particular regard to out of hours arrangements and future ways of dealing with patient demand aimed at resolving the present logjam.

Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that it seems from a patient's point of view that the solution is "every man for himself".
