Not the SNP's full Tory story

Linda Fabiani MSP appears to have selective amnesia (Don't pass our future to the Tories, Letters, July 29).

She conveniently forgets to mention the 11 SNP MPs in 1979 who became allies of the Tories and Mrs Thatcher by voting with them in a vote of no-confidence in the then Labour government. This brought in the 18 years of Tory rule and Thatcherism. Only one party has passed the future of Scotland to the Tories: the SNP.
