I WAS amazed to read that the Government was spending more money to trace victims of Equitable Life ("Victims still owed in Equitable Life scandal", The Herald, July 23).
As a With Profits Policy Holder in the Equitable Life Assurance Society, I have been writing to the Treasury and twice to the Prime Minister over a period of six years to get compensation for major losses in my pension and getting no results.
I am being supported in my claims by the Equitable Members Action Group and my own Member of Parliament for Glasgow South, Tom Harris.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
