So unfair to Sheridan

What an overwrought and unpleasant article your investigations editor Paul Hutcheon produced about the play based on Alan McCombes's attack on Tommy Sheridan (The joke's on Sheridan in a Fringe fable, News, August 5).

Whatever the merits of Ian Pattison's play, the article is hysterically unbalanced. Was Mr Hutcheon given a fright by a socialist when he was a child?
