This week's column is about primers – those creams that help keep your make-up in place.
But first a story. In 1995, make-up artist Laura Mercier invented her foundation primer. A vitamin-packed formula, it was designed to give skin a more flawless appearance when applied underneath foundation. It was an instant hit – raved about in magazines and used by top make-up artists.
