It used to amaze me that in the Herald fashion cupboard you could have the most delectable creations hanging on the rails, McQueen, Chloe, Stella etc, which no-one would dare to try on, but editors and assistants alike wouldn’t think twice about popping their tootsies into the assembled footwear, cheap and very expensive alike.
