From Jessie J to Mary Berry, here’s my fashion pick of our current crop of stylish stars on television.
There’s something to be said about the simple pleasures in life of a giant Easter egg and some holiday TV.
But don’t worry the chocolate haze didn’t deter my fashion radar. In fact fashion on the box was at a real high - these five stylish ladies caught my eye.
Jessie J
The new series of The Voice has arrived and with it a super fashionable Miss J. Jessie is partial to patterned leggings, body suits and leather so she’s not afraid to show off her assets. The feisty songstress is back on form with her sleek black bob polished to perfection, as it was filmed before her Children in Need shaving. Not too keen on the neon claw nails but you can’t win them all.
Mary Berry
The lovely Great British Bake Off star puts younger presenters to shame with her trendy style choices. The 77 year old has not only made bomber jackets chic but her fashion choices led to a spike in sales at Zara and Whistles last year. Thumbs up to Mary for proving age is but a number (and looking so great – how does she resist eating all those cakes?)
Christina Hendricks
The Mad Man actress, who plays Joan Holloway in the cult series, is an expert in sex appeal. Her style statements are slinky, elegant and highlight those seductive curves to perfection. Christina is a true representation of the term bombshell. Look up the word in the dictionary and you’re sure to see her flame red locks winking up at you. There’s not a girl (or guy) in Britain that hasn’t appreciated this ladies fashion sense (*Ahem*).
Rosie Fortescue
Credit where it’s due, reality TV star Rosie is always polished to perfection. Everything from her designer coats to her porcelain skin is flawless. It’s true this lucky lady has the cash to flash on expensive clothes, but money can’t buy you style and this one knows how to dress. Let’s see if she can keep it up when the new series of Made in Chelsea goes live on 8th April. Check out Rosie’s style on her blog ‘At Fashion Forte’.
Mollie King
The Saturdays band member and star of American TV documentary ‘Chasing the Saturdays’ is known for her glamorous style and is a regular at London Fashion Week. The 25 year old appears to favour simple timeless pieces over fad fashion and is an expert at layering. She’s also been connected to some of our favourite eligible bachelors (David Gandy and Prince Harry). What’s not to love?!
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
