Seven of Scotland's most celebrated young fashion designers are holding a pop-up shop this weekend at Princes Square in Glasgow.

Join womenswear designers Rebecca Torres and Joanne McGillivray, jewellers Georgia Wiseman and Rene Walrus and accessories designers Bebaroque, Rosie Sugden and Karen Mabon for the chance to buy limited edition samples and take advantage of seasonal discounts.

Since winning the Scottish Fashion Awards Graduate of the Year in 2012, Joanne McGillivray has gone on to complete an internship with Marks and Spencer where she designed a sell out dress and build a celebrity following including Made in Chelsea's Millie Macintosh.

Joining Joanne at the pop-up is fellow womenswear designer Rebecca Torres who is known for her colourful figure-flattering dresses and has been featured in Vogue magazine. Both ladies are also launching collections with House of Fraser on Buchanan Street in time for the festive shopping period.

For the perfect gift there's nothing quite like a locally designed piece of jewellery or a cosy Rosie Sugden scarf to keep out the cold. Georgia Wiseman is becoming the go-to-girl for delicate jewels in shades of emerald green and midnight blue whilst her fellow jewellery designer Rene Walrus is all about bling with her wide range of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and headpieces made with Swarovski crystals.

Accessories designer Karen Mabon, whose critically acclaimed silk scarves are stocked by Liberty in London said: "The internet is fantastic for running a business and connecting with customers but as my products are so tactile it's important for customers to have the opportunity to actually touch things and try them on.

"A lot of time and thought goes into choosing the fabrics for each scarf collection, which are all hand-spun in Como in Italy and it's nice to be able to communicate the physicality of it. Also, from a design perspective, it's invaluable to have these opportunities to talk to customers about what changes and improvements they'd like to see as well as the positives. They're the people who wear my scarves after all!"

Take this opportunity to buy from local designers who personally craft their products and own something truly unique. The Designer Pop-up Shop runs from November 22 and 23 between 10am-6pm on the Lower Ground Floor of Princes Square in Glasgow.
