Festival season one of my favourite times of year, led by the most influential music festival in the world, Glastonbury.

Many festivals aspire to the greatness of this iconic British institution but few come close. In sheer size and diversity it is unique and has a sparkle that keeps its audience captivated.

Whether you are an artist performing, a reveller camping, or a spectator watching on telly from the comfort of your sofa, there is always a magical music moment at some point over the weekend.

It is Glastonbury's eclectic music mix that gives it something special and its eclectic fashion that truly inspires.

Kate Moss is the style icon most associated with the festival, and this year she apparently made a last minute dash to the festival and shockingly (for such a festival veteran) arrived wearing heels! However she had managed to pack few festival faithfuls such as an aviator jacket, skinny jeans, kimono, leather-fringed waistcoat and vest tops. Circulating with her stylish BFF Stella McCartney, both expertly accessorised with their rock 'n' roll royalty sunglasses.

Sienna Miller was back to her boho best in a soft flowery hippie style dress, given an edge when worn with black studded biker boots. She gave out perfect peace and love festival vibes strolling around with her handsome bearded fiance, Tom Sturridge.

Model siblings Poppy and Cara Delevingne brought their usual effortless style. Cara looked casual in skinny jeans and a shellsuit jacket worn with turquoise mirrored shades, while sister Poppy styled her Navajo boots and a fringed top with a denim jacket and a quirky feather head dress.

Rita Ora looked every inch the superstar, performing on stage in a dramatic red fringed dress. She also caught our attention with 'dress down cool' in a soft lilac knitted bodycon crop top and skirt worn with the obligatory festival staple of black boots and her trademark fierce red lipstick.

'Queen of the crop top' was Millie Mackintosh who teamed her army parka, Hunter wellies and flower garland with a tiny pair of black leather shorts and a black high neck cropped T-shirt, showcasing her toned mid-section. Crop tops are a key festival item. Others brave enough to bare include Iggy Azalea, who went for an edgy printed crop top and shorts combination.

Jo Whiley presented the BBC's coverage rocking a cool leopard print silk shift dress which created a twitter frenzy - the 100% silk 'Owen' dress by Equipment at Oxygen Boutique.
