Here are my top ten beauty favourites for July. Some that have just been released to the market and some I just can't live without:
Benecos new releases
Benecos have released three new products to its cosmetic line which I've personally tried and tested, and I love them. Benecos only uses natural ingredients in its products, and they don't contain parabens, synthetic fragrances, perfumes or colours. My favourite is the Natural Powder Blush Trio in Fall in Love (pictured, £5.95). Then there's the Natural 8 in 1 BB Cream (£9.95) a multipurpose tinted face balm that primes, smoothes, covers, brightens, mattifies and evens skin tone. Finally the Natural Highlighting Powder in Stardust (£6.95) aims to offer an iridescent glow to the complexion.
Oriflame summer nail shades
Oriflame launches five new shades in its Long Wear Nail Polish collection. The bright, summery colours are perfect for your holiday nail colour selection. Not only that but they're chip resistant, long lasting and give a high gloss finish to the nails. The formula promises to be flake free for up to 14 days. The colours come in yellow, orange, pink, blue and green. These limited edition polishes are available from July 4-November 7 and retail for £5.95.
Jimmy Choo Man
If you're a Jimmy Choo fragrance fan then you'll love the new line launching soon for men. On Aug 11, Jimmy Choo will introduce Jimmy Choo Man. The bottle is inspired by an antique hip flask in metallic tones. Kit Harrington is the face of the campaign. So what does it smell like? Calming lavender opens the top notes, met with the sweetness of honeydew melon and citrus. Pineapple leaf and geranium make for a crisp heart, whilst the base of patchouli and amberwood add warmth. It retails for £29 for 30ml, £42 for 50ml and £62 for 100ml.
Pears
I'm personally quite excited to announce I am UK brand ambassador for Pears soap 2014. I've come on board to celebrate their 225th anniversary and can't help but mention this iconic heritage brand in my top 10 beauty products for July. Pears soap contains quality skincare ingredients including glycerine, sorbitol and natural oils and fats which moisturize the skin while cleaning thoroughly yet gently and has expanded its range in recent years to include classic amber soap, mint soap, blue soap, liquid soap and showergel.
Frangipani body lotion by Elemis
Elemis has launched its new Frangipani Monoi body cream, the final layer of luxury to complete your bodycare ritual and I love it. It's like an envelope of luxury. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the multi-award-winning Frangipani Monoi range, this new addition is released in a limited edition design that pays homage to the beautiful fragrance of the frangipani flower. An indulgent body cream, scented with the warm and exotic fragrance of frangipani flowers, which melts effortlessly into the skin to leave it silky smooth and deeply moisturised. It launches in August and retails for £24.00.
Charlotte Tilbury's Beach Sticks
Celebrity make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury has launched a new line of products called Beach Sticks. The lip and cheek tints are perfect for your handbag, especially on your travels. They deliver a smoothing and plumping finish and offer a light-reflecting wash of colour. Shades include Formentera (berry), Las Salinas (pink), Moon Beach (rose gold), Es Vedra (red) and Ibiza (bronze). They retail for £30.
Morris & Co's new beauty & home fragrance collection
Morris & Co are launching a Golden Lily Beauty & Home Fragrance Collection for autumn and it sounds just lovely. The product line is sulphate and paraben free, featuring pretty floral patterned packaging, and a fresh, citrus scent. The range includes Conditioning Hand Wash (£10), Bath Duo with Body Lotion & Body Wash 2x (£12), Hand Cream (£10), Hand Cream Collection 3x (£9), Hand Wash & Hand Lotion Duo 2x (£22) and Guest Soaps 4x (£12).
Too Faced Cat Eyes palette
Cat Eyes palette is the latest launch from cosmetic brand Too Faced. The palette is a nod to the cat eye make-up trend that has inspired looks from the 1960s mod look, 1980s punk, and ancient Egyptian kohl. It contains nine eye shadows including three wet-and-dry formulas to create an updated version of the classic look. The formula is lightweight and comes in matte or sparkle finishes. Available August 11 from Debenhams at £32.
Smiley SS14 collection
The smiley face was forever immortalised as the iconic image of the acid house music movement in the 1980s. Featuring on-trend animal print in summery shades of green and yellow, this cropped leopard print tee is a must for your summer wardrobe. Priced £28. Available at smiley.com
Rochelle Humes fashion collection for Very.co.uk
The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes has collaborated with online retailer Very.co.uk to create her first fashion collection. It officially launched online June 12 with a second drop on July 17. The capsule collection takes inspiration from current seasonal trends as well as the singer's personal sense of style. The 19-piece line features dresses, a camisole top, shorts and a jumpsuit in vibrant colours and prints. Perfect little holiday numbers. Prices range from £25-£59 in sizes from 8-20.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
