Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders received the Emerging Talent award for menswear at the British Fashion Awards.

The 35 year old Glaswegian designer counts Michelle Obama, the Duchess of Cambridge, Eva Mendes, Dita Von Teese, Madonna and Emma Stone as just some of his celebrity fans.

The event, organised by the British Fashion Council, saw 12 other awards presented to fashion industry figures, with a host of big names presenting accolades and posing on the red carpet at London's Savoy Hotel.

Hollywood star Salma Hayek presented Stella McCartney with her Designer of the Year statuette, Cara Delevingne was named model of the year and fashionista Alexa Chung  picked up the award for British Style.
