A host of Scottish names got together for a unique Burns supper to celebrate the birth of Scotland’s Bard.

Comedian Karen Dunbar, actress Libby McArthur and television presenter Carl MacDougall performed at The Herald and Sunday Herald’s Burns event at the Brig O’Doon Hotel in Alloway.

Rising classical music singer Nicola Cassells gave a performance of two traditional Burns songs, including Auld Lang Syne, and Still Game stars Mark Cox and Jane McCarry gave the Toast to the Lassies and the Reply from the Lassies. The pair play Isa Drennan and Tam Mullen in the popular Bafta award-winning comedy show.

The event includes a traditional three course Burns lunch and a dram followed by lively recitals and discussions about the life and works of Scotland’s Bard.
