First minister's office fails to hit savings targets

Efficiency drive finds only £2m over three years By Tom Gordon, Scottish Political Editor

THE first minister's department is the least efficient in the Scottish government, falling 80% short of its savings targets, according to new official figures.

Expected to find £10 million of savings during the past three years, it delivered just £2m.
