DIY cocktails: a refreshing Sea Breeze

With the light summer nights packing out Rogano's outdoor seating with seafood lovers, the classic Sea Breeze concoction will bring the waves of the shore to Glasgow's city centre.

Created in the late 1920s, the blend of vodka with cranberry and grapefruit juice produces the perfect summer time beverage.

The cocktail follows the classic tradition of mixing and balancing the strong alcohol with weak fruit juice to create a taste that is both sweet and sour.

1 ½  oz of vodka

4 oz of fresh grapefruit juice

1 ½ oz of cranberry juice

1 Pour vodka into an iced highball glass

2 Fill partially with grapefruit juice

3 Top off with cranberry juice

4 Add a lime wedge or grapefruit slice to garnish, serve and enjoy
