A well-made daiquiri, like the ones created daily at Rogano, perfectly balance the four key elements of a cocktail: sweetness, sourness,  strength and dilution.

The credit of the daiquiri's name and creation goes to an American engineer Jennings Stockton Cox.

In 1898, leading an expedition in the Sierra Maestra Mountains on the south-eastern shore of Cuba, Cox came across a small town named Daiquiri and it was there that he created this classic drink.
