With an unusual name comes an unusual taste. The Monkey Gland brings tropical to town, perfectly balancing the fruity grenadine flavour with a subtle hint of anise.

A firm favourite of the classic gin based cocktails, this sweet mixture will make you sip and sigh with pleasure.

Ingredients:

2 oz gin

1 oz orange juice

1/4 oz grenadine

Dash of absinthe

Orange slice for garnish

Preparation

1 Swirl a dash of absinthe in a chilled cocktail glass to coat it, then pour out any excess liqueur and set aside.

2 Pour the gin, orange juice, and grenadine into your cocktail shaker with ice cubes. 

3 Shake well before straining into the cocktail glass.

4 Garnish with the orange slice or a burnt orange peel to preference.
