What is it? After years of being an eyesore on the waterfront of Brodick, The Douglas has recently been refurbished and reopened. The impressive 21-room hotel is the first thing you see as you step off the ferry. It's not grand as such but inside it has a great blend of classic and modern decor, with luxurious leather sofas, dark wood flooring and panelling, and modern but comfortable furniture. There's even a framed hockey shirt on the wall which was a bit random.
