A Stirling based drinks company is celebrating after securing a deal with a national supermarket to stock two of its freshly squeezed juices.

Asda has agreed to stock Get Juiced’s apple and orange juices in its 53 Scottish stores.

The deal has also meant that Get Juiced has been able to increased its workforce, creating another nine jobs.

The firm uses a unique pasteurisation process to increase the shelf-life of its juices. The process is the result of a collaboration between advanced microwave technologies and the Food Innovation Department at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.

Get Juiced is the first drinks company to use this form of technology to enhance the shelf life of its products.

Gary Brown, company director of Get Juiced said: "We are delighted to have secured our first branded supermarket listing with Asda.

"At Get Juiced our priority is to deliver fantastic quality products, service and value.  Our 100% freshly squeezed fruit juice is made in Scotland from the finest quality fruits sourced from both home and abroad.

"In fact, the fruits that we use are of such high quality that we even have farmers coming to our plant three or four times a week to collect the fruit waste which is then fed to the local cows."

The product comes in one litre cartons and is available in Asda stores across Scotland.
