Wine By Pete Stewart

Well, here we are in July which means, to me at least, it's acceptable to drink rosé wine.

Not only acceptable, but perhaps compulsory alongside Geoff's road-trip picnic. Just remember to take a soft drink for the driver.

Pinky drinkies continue to increase in popularity, providing a great starting point on the wine journey. Back in my day, the first wine you tasted was generally an off-dry German white. Nowadays it will more than likely be a branded rosé. The good news is that your rosé doesn't have to be a wishy-washy Californian blush. Winemakers are reacting to demand and are making fuller, drier, darker wines.
