Italian food just got even more exciting as pop-up food and drink festival 'Moretti Gran Tour' returns to the UK for a second summer of great food, beer and company.
The tour debuts in Edinburgh at the Summerhall on the 9th July, before heading to London and ending in Leeds in August.
For three days, Summerhall will be transformed into an authentic Italian street food market, coupled with music provided by top local DJs to enhance the continental experience. The 'Moretti Gran Tour' invites food enthusiasts on a culinary journey across the regions of Italy to discover unique, specialty cuisine.
Arancina, Paste E Basta, Cooking Cooks, The Arencini Bros and Gelupo will be cooking up mouthwatering delights as well as 12 new exciting vendors serving speciality cuisine from all over Italy. Each vendor will showcase authentic cooking methods and share signature regional dishes, such as a pizza from Naples, arancini balls from Sicily and Panino Teca with famous truffles from Norcia.
TV chef and event maître d', Joe Hurd said: "The Moretti Gran Tour blends all the important aspects of Italian culinary culture, from great ingredients to regional delicacies, alongside the popular street food movement. This year sees the introduction of master classes where you don't just taste great food, you can makes great food."
Over the past decade, Birra Moretti has been involved with Street Feast, Urban Food Festival, Big Feastival, Pizza in the Piazza and Model Market. David Lette, Birra Moretti Brand Director said: "Last year's events were hugely successful, so we're really excited to bring the tour back again- taking the best of Italy to more cities and with more vendors. Enjoying great beer and food with friends is an important part of both Italian and British cultures, so together with our street food partners we are looking forward to creating an event that is not to be missed."
Advanced tickets are priced at £10 plus a £1 booking fee. This allows includes two Birra Moretti, two dishes from any vendor on-site and a gelato. Tickets can be booked at www.designmynight.com.
