Tunnel visions

Scotland is leading the way in feeding a world struggling with population explosion and climate change.

During a visit to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (rbgE) I discovered how it's possible to grow a range of green vegetables for 12 months of the year. In its Edible Gardening Project polytunnel there are broccoli, spinach, garlic, lettuce, spring onions, rainbow chard, beetroot, broad beans and even carrots, all growing from seed.
