There's nothing more satisfying than nipping out to the garden to dig tasty new tatties and pick sweet strawberries or mouthwatering beans. Flat dwellers and those with tiny gardens aren't immune to the seductions of gardening, so they're turning in their droves to allotments so they too can enjoy the pleasures of gardening. Unfortunately, demand massively outstrips supply.
