Finalising where the resultant cuts should finally fall will be an unenviable task.
But I am concerned to see how the cuts that some local authorities have already identified focus disproportionately on services for children and families.

Scotland’s local government services have been lashed by the economic downturn and the much-reduced budgets that have followed.
