Aggie MacKenzie, star of How Clean is Your House? and Storage Hoarders, on her top tips for looking good.

How would you describe your beauty routine?

I’m going to shock you by saying that I never wash my face before I go to bed, unless I’m covered in make-up. I don’t wear that much foundation on my face anyway, so in the morning I wash my face in the shower.

Any other tips?

I know all the rules that you are supposed to do, and I know that I should do them, but I always forget!

Aggie's favourite products

Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect day cream (£11)

I always use moisturiser. I haven’t ever found one I love, but I do really like Boots No. 7 Protect and Perfect.

Mac eye shadow (£9 for a single colour)

I have a Mac eye shadow palette of four colours which I use all the time. One is a highlighter, one is pale brown for the eyebrows, there’s a mulberry colour and a dark brown, which I use in the sockets.

Clarins Wonder Perfect mascara (£15)

I’ve used this for years, and it suits me fine. I also like one that’s waterproof.

Redken hair products (prices vary)

I’ve used Redken hair products  for years, and find it really good.

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser (£33)

I do my own make-up when filming, but once I do the base I get someone to check over how it looks.

Laura Mercier Creme Lip Colour (£18.50)

I find lipstick doesn’t last long so I use a lip pencil underneath. But I do the whole of the lip rather than the outline, after being given that tip by a make-up artist. I also use lip gloss over the top – either Clarins, Mac or Laura Mercier lip gloss.

Tweezerman tweezers (from £12)

It’s the Rolls Royce of tweezers and I’ve used them for a decade.

Mac Prep and Prime eye (£12.50)

I use this Mac primer under eye shadow. I really like it and use it when I’m filming as eye shadow seems to stay on longer.

Storage Hoarders is on ITV1, Weekdays, at 2pm.
