Mamma's, 30 Grassmarket, Old Town, Edinburgh

Elizabeth G was pleased to find her gluten-free pizza base from Mamma's was "crispy - I hate soggy pizza bases". And in addition to all the traditional toppings, there are "lots of other exciting options, including cactus" and even "marshmallows and chocolate!"

NY Slice, 369 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow City Centre

"Doing traditional round pies with thin crusts and stunning toppings, they are getting so many things right," raves Andrew C. "First the crust. Wow. The dough tasted slow proofed to develop the flavour. Loads of really nice flavours from the base alone. The sauce is perfectly minimal, providing some great tomato flavours."
