"I had the prawns to start and cod for main which came with a lovely sauce," says Hayley M. With "great service and atmosphere, the waiter was really lovely and attentive. Brian Maule also came out at the end of service to speak with customers which was a nice touch."
Café St Honoré

"The setting feels like a village bistro in the Loire valley," says Jurgen D of this restaurant with its regularly changing menu. The hot smoked mackerel salad offered on the night he went left him lost for words: "The balance of the flavours with the peppery rocket was well.... nom!! Not the most eloquent word but you get it."

Gavin W enjoyed "the French onion soup - subtle, but very tasty" and the sea bass is "incredibly soft! The restaurant just felt right, the service was excellent and the food was very good."
L'Escargot Blanc
17 Queensferry Street, Edinburgh
This "gorgeous French bistro, complete with rustic charm" has won Claire C's heart - and stomach! By the time she'd finished, she felt so full she could hardly move! Her highlight was "salt on the crust of the creme brulée, giving it an added dimension of crunch and taste".
La Bonne Auberge
161 West Nile Street, Glasgow
Couples can opt for a romantic night out with 3 courses for two people, and a bottle of wine for £49.95. Michelle M says it's "cosy yet spacious!"
Maison Bleue
36-38 Victoria Street, Edinburgh
Rayan D is delighted to report that "a wonderful lunch was had", in particular his duck confit, which was "cooked to perfection and was falling apart underneath the roughly mashed potatoes". His summary: "fabulous!"
Patisserie Valerie
23 West Nile Street, Glasgow
Sampling the "double chocolate gateaux" Christina M says "chocolate overload anyone? This cake was so amazing that it had extra cake on top, in the form of a profiterole!"
Café Marlayne
76 Thistle Street, Edinburgh
The "smitten" Ben B "couldn't decide on starters as they all sounded too good". The answer? "Order every single starter, and I mean every single one". Sure enough, they were so good that he wants to go back with friends and he certainly wouldn't be mad at himself if he went all starters again!
