Scottish Ballet’s Autumn Season featuring Elsa Canasta by Javier de Frutos and Motion of Displacement, a world premiere from Bryan Arias, launches at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow on 24 September.

Elsa Canasta is a sensual dance work by Javier de Frutos. Set to the music of Cole Porter, it recalls the glamour of a bygone era. Motion of Displacement, a new work created especially for Scottish Ballet by up-and-coming American choreographer Bryan Arias, is inspired by stories of his mother’s journey from her native land of El Salvador to America.

Scottish Ballet dancer Sophie Laplane will also be presenting her new work Maze as part of Scottish Ballet’s upcoming autumn season.

Elsa Canasta, Motion of Displacement and Maze will be performed at Theatre Royal, Glasgow from 24 – 26 September, Festival Theatre, Edinburgh from 29 - 30 September, Eden Court, Inverness from 2 - 3 October and His Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen from 9 - 10 October.
