Victoria and David Beckham have been the ultimate power couple since the day the footballer fell in love with the Spice Girl.

Now relaunched with lucrative careers as a fashion designer and model/actor/business mogul respectively, “Brand Beckham” is worth an estimated half a billion pounds.

But while David has always been the family breadwinner, Victoria is fast proving that her growing fashion empire has the legs to rival her husband’s business interests.

According to The Telegraph, Companies House records show that Victoria Beckham Ltd turned over £34 million in the last financial year – which is a £9 million increase on the previous year.

In contrast, David’s companies that manage his sponsorship and marketing deals raked in just £17 million.

However, it looks like David will remain the financial head of the family for a little longer. Because of overhead costs, Victoria’s company actually made a net loss, while David’s made a £12.7 million profit.

Victoria has defied the critics to prove herself as a legitimate businesswoman and fashion designer, winning designer brand of the year at the British Fashion Awards in 2011 and named Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 by Management Today. The magazine estimated her worth at £210 million.

David remains the world’s highest-paid ex-sportsman, with advertising deals with brands including Adidas, H&M and Diageo and other business interests pulling in £50.8 million in total last year, according to Forbes.

They share four children: Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10 and Harper, four.
