THE Stirling Whisky Festival is returning for its seventh year in 2018 when over 700 ‘dram busters’ will descend on the city to sample a myriad of over 100 mouth-watering malts.

Prestigious names in the Scottish Whisky Industry like Glengoyne, Glenturret and Springbank will all be present and ready to provide patrons with a memorable day savouring the delights of the water of life.

However, there will also be a vast and extended range of some of the best whiskies available, including some of the most exclusive and those which are up-and-coming to the market.

The festival, which every year attracts hundreds of visitors from across the UK and from overseas - including from the USA, Israel, Canada and Hungary - as well as those local to the area, is hosted by Cameron and June McCann, owners of the renowned Stirling Spirit Company.

Cameron will assemble friends and acquaintances from distilleries and independent bottlers from across Scotland to offer visitors to the festival a range of whisky experiences.

Festival guests will also be able to purchase exclusive bottles from new festival retail partner Royal Mile Whiskies vast range of on-sale products.

With blue-chip distilleries and suppliers like Arran Distillers on board, co-owner June McCann is confident of another sell-out event.

June said: "We had 700 aficionados at the 2017 event and I am hoping we are on course for another sell-out for the 2018 festival.

"A Stirling Whisky Festival ticket would also be the ideal Christmas present for anyone who enjoys a dram.

"For any whisky lover this is a not to be missed opportunity to savour some of the biggest names in Scottish whisky but also to discover a few hidden gems besides and one that's not to be missed.

"We are also particularly delighted to welcome on-board our new retail partner Royal Mile Whiskies, one of Scotland's foremost whisky purveyors,

"But you will need to be quick."

In addition there will also be a whisky and gin-themed ceilidh on the eve of the festival as a curtain-raiser to the 2018 festival.

The Stirling Whisky Festival will take place in the Stirling Highland Hotel on May 12. Tickets for the highly anticipated event are priced at £30.
