What is it?

Multi-room capable wireless home speakers with 360-degree sound output.

Good points?

Libratone has developed a trademarked Acoustic FullRoom technology which sends sound in all directions, filling the room. When placed in the centre of a room, the Zipp speaker provides flowing coverage no matter where you are.

The innovation comes into its own when linking additional speakers in different rooms using wi-fi to create a complete home sound system. The audio quality is rich and powerful without sounding tinny like some of the other so-called market leaders.

Operation couldn't be easier as the Libratone iOS smartphone app is highly intuitive with no learning curve: you open the app and the program finds all your compatible speakers.

As the name suggests, the wool cover on each Zipp can be unfastened and replaced with all manner of snazzy colours to reflect the style or decor of the room.

The portability of these speakers will appeal to many as the battery will last a number of moderate usage days.

Bad points?

Mass-market appeal is very limited as it's incompatible with Android and Windows devices due to the AirPlay connection type.

The Zipp's wi-fi network can, in some cases, conflict with your home signal if placed in close proximity to your internet hub.
