What is it?

A sleep environment and tracking monitor to help achieve the ideal conditions for a good night's rest.

Most sleep monitoring systems concentrate purely on providing statistics such as duration of the rem cycle and so on but few offer any real assistance in improving sleep quality.

This is where the Sense from Hello differs. It was developed to aid sleep by monitoring the environmental situation of your bedroom and altering it when appropriate.

Good Points?

The Sense sensor clips to the end of your pillow instead of depending on wearables which can be tricky to fit properly and result in an uncomfortable few minutes until you find a pinch-free position.

The base unit can register ambient light, temperature, humidity and air pollution such as dust and pollen. Everything is brought together in simple to understand condition statuses: green equals ideal, amber is sub-optimal and red indicates that adequate rest is unlikely.

The accompanying mobile app delves deeper to give a detailed picture of what's happening in your room and provides the opportunity to rectify any elements causing issues.

Bad points?

The real-time tracking seemed to have a slight delay in some circumstances such as sound alterations and temperature when compared to a dedicated thermostat.

Best for ...

Those in need of a little help in nodding off rather than understanding what happens once you have entered dreamland.

Avoid if ...

You find the idea of any additional technology encroaching in your life a tad counterproductive.

Score: 8/10. Innovative and worth a look.
