What is it?

A cordless, compact and lightweight portable air pump. The Air Hawk Pro can be used to inflate anything from footballs and paddling pools to car tyres.

Good Points?

The Air Hawk Pro is portable enough to tuck into a car boot and is comparable in size and shape to a hand drill. You can set the desired pressure for your inflatable and let the pump do its work automatically.

Once at the specified pressure, the compressor shuts off without intervention. A mini digital LED screen allows you to view and programme pressure levels using measurement units that include psi and bar.

The rechargeable battery means that the device can run cord-free for around 15 minutes, but you can also use the supplied 12v power cable that connects to a car power outlet for longer jobs.

Bad points?

The air pressure gauge can be more miss than hit when reading pressure. I was also a little frustrated that the valve connector had to be screwed into the tyre valve before it would take a reading.

There is no support for standard road bike tubes as a Presta valve adapter is not included.

Best for ...

Those who want to remove the hassle of manually inflating tyres and other air-filled items.

Avoid if ...

You have a road bike or have lots of inflating jobs to do. Where this device falls down slightly is in scenarios were quantity and speed are required.

Score: 7/10.
