What is it?
A portable bike pressure washer.
Winter conditions can be kryptonite for bikes with grit, salt and mud all liable to cause havoc to a well-oiled machine. Regular washing of your trusty steed is a must and that is where the Mobi V-17 mobile pressure washer comes in.
Good Points?
A rechargeable 60W battery allows you to operate the washer anywhere with connections also available for mains and 12v car power.
When full the 17 litre tank can comfortably hold enough water to wash two bikes and have enough left over for your shoes and helmet.
The Mobi V-17 can also be used to clean larger vehicles, such as cars and motorcycles, with the shower head attachment perfect for bathing pets. Set-up is straightforward with only a hose and nozzle to connect via the quick link clips.
The jet of water produced has enough force (130 PSI) to remove dried mud without harming precious carbon components. A three-metre hose allows you to completely circle a bike without having to move the base unit.
Bad points?
Although the 7.5kg device comes with wheels to aid manoeuvrability, it can still be a tad cumbersome when negotiating stairs using the shoulder strap. The battery can take a few hours to completely recharge, but there is no percentage indicator present.
Best for ...
Those who don't have easy access to an outside tap or anyone wanting to give their bike a quick and easy clean before putting it into the car.
Avoid if ...
You are a die-hard traditionalist who prefers a bucket, sponge and good, old-fashioned elbow grease.
