Thomas Magnusson appears unlikely to win a contract at Motherwell after the Swede criticised the club in his homeland.

The 30-year-old spent several days at Fir Park last week and played in a friendly against Partick Thistle last Wednesday, which Motherwell lost 2-1.

However, despite claiming to have impressed, Magnusson has not been encouraged by Motherwell's response and the centre-back, who has been released by Swedish top-flight outfit IFK Norrkoping, was not particularly enthusiastic about a potential move.

"They did not leave a very good impression," Magnusson told a Swedish newspaper. "The club was not as professional as I thought. The organisation is bad, everything from training times to everything surrounding the matches. It didn't look good from an economic viewpoint either. We will see what happens."

Jakub Hottek, the Czech left-back, who was briefly at Livingston last season, also featured against Thistle but is unlikely to be kept on.
