An 18-year-old man died yesterday at the Rockness music festival at Dores near Inverness - the second death of a reveller at the event in as many years.
Police said the man was removed from the event at around 2.30pm by the Red Cross and taken for treatment at the field hospital.
A decision was made to take him to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, where his condition deteriorated. The man died at around 4pm.
A Police Family Liaison Officer has been appointed but no further details are being issued until all next of kin have been informed.
Earlier, police warned drug dealers to stay away from this weekend's festival.
Senior police officers said a "robust stance" would once again be taken on drug users - and in particular drug dealers - at the two-day event.
Last year, a total of nine people were arrested at the festival for drug dealing offences.
Company director Paul Litterick, 39, from Dundee, was also discovered dead from a suspected heroin overdose in his car by a member of the public.
