Anyone allergic to very cheesy but sweet French rom-coms should avoid this like a ferry strike. It's such a honeyed, contrived confection I had to check twice that it wasn't written by Richard "Notting Hill/Love Actually" Curtis. After being sacked from his job in Paris, Mathias (Vincent Lindon) comes to London, where his ex-wife and daughter live, to share a house with his best friend Antoine. Much Odd Couple-style bickering and getting to know each other ensues in a bright, clean London that's straight out of a fairy tale. As the men try not to behave too badly in their search for new loves, Levy helps things along with pop songs, cute kids, and a little gentle slapstick as the cherry on top.
