"Bet you didn't think, with all my sad little songs, that Beerjacket had friends." It's a typically self-deprecatory opening from singer-songwriter Peter Kelly, the man behind the music that calls itself Beerjacket, joined tonight by singer Julia Doogan and Stuart MacLeod, musician and producer of last year's The White Feather Trail.
Unlike some of the names on the bill at this year's King Tut's Summer Nights celebration of Scottish music, Kelly has played this stage more times than most people can count, but the additional musicians present for this special run-through of the critically acclaimed album turns this show into a rare treat.
