Surveying a well-populated Fruitmarket, Neil Cowley recalled that the first time he played here the audience was around 30. And he wasn't describing their age. Cowley's individual take on the piano, double bass and drums format has been nurtured by Glasgow Jazz Festival, but if Friday's bumper attendance provided a new experience, there was also a new Neil Cowley Trio at play.
