Everyone else appreciated the effort that the all-female quartet put into their live show, which spoke, among other things, of a refusal to use their appearance as a selling point, comely though they are, from singer Jehnny Beth's chiselled cheekbones to drummer Fay Milton's immaculate hairdo.
