EXOVA, the testing specialist, has been appointed to provide more work in connection with a planned North Sea gas field.
The Edinburgh-based company will provide further testing services for the oil and gas division of the Maersk shipping combine on materials that may be used on the Culzean field around 150 miles east of Aberdeen. The additional work covers stress cracking and electrochemical corrosion testing. Exova said it will complete the work at its centre in Dudley. The Maersk Oil business expects to make a final investment decision this year on whether to proceed with the Culzean development.
