ENQUEST has agreed to sell a stake in a North Sea field to Kuwait's state oil firm for around £300 million.

The Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company is taking a 35% interest in the Alma and Galia oil field developments. The move will help with development costs of around £600m.

Alma was the first field to be developed in the UK North Sea.
