Sigma, the urban housing specialist, has agreed a land transfer which will add a further 56 new homes to its £5.8million Regeneration Liverpool scheme.

The Edinburgh-based group is in partnership with Liverpool City Council to develop a 63-acre site at Norris Green five miles from the city centre and the latest land deal with the council will take the total of new homes being built to 428.

Graham Barnet, chief executive of Sigma, commented: "The ultimate objective is for some 800 new homes to be built at Norris Green, with a mix of tenures, including market for sale, private rental, affordable and social housing."
