RUPERT Soames, chief executive of Aggreko, the temporary power company, has declared himself "pretty chuffed" after unveiling a 25% hike in first-half trading profits to £159 million and a successful start of the firm's £55m contract to power the Olympics.
Mr Soames emphasised the Scottish firm was delivering "what will be the world's largest contract for temporary power for a major sporting event" with its exclusive deal for London 2012.
He noted the value of the contract for the games had risen from £35m just over a year ago as its scope had grown.
