SCOTTISHPOWER chief corporate officer Keith Anderson has warned swift action will have to be taken to upgrade Scottish ports if they are to benefit from the development of wind farms off the UK coast.
Glasgow-based ScottishPower is supporting a £50 million upgrade of Belfast harbour that has seen it and Danish partner Dong Energy commit to using it as a base for pre-assembling turbines for three wind farms off the west coast of the UK.
