SCHLUMBERGER Oilfield UK has secured the contract for integrated drilling and well services on the Mariner field on the UK continental shelf (UKCS).
The deal, due to start next month and lasting four years, was awarded by Statoil on behalf of the Mariner co-venturers.
Managing director for Statoil Production UK, Gunnar Breivik, described the step as "a very significant agreement for the Mariner project".
The contract also includes options for UKCS oilfield Bressay.
