A UNIQUE business competition which attracted 550 teams ranging from accountancy firms to primary schools across Scotland has raised over £90,000 to fund micro-loans in the developing world.

Micro-Tyco, brainchild of social entrepreneur Mick Jackson, challenged the teams from schools, colleges and businesses to grow £1 seed capital into as much money as possible in one month.

Last year's pilot scheme, run by Mr Jackson's organisation WildHearts, raised £13,000 from 64 teams.
