The ANM Group has confirmed it has decided to sell its loss-making businesses of Scotch Premier Meat, based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, and Yorkshire Premier Meat.
The ANM board has taken the decision to refocus on its traditional core businesses, namely auction and valuation services, including its property portfolio, to ensure the future long-term sustainability of the Group.
Charlie Adam, NFUS north- east regional board chairman said: "While this announcement comes as a bit of a shock, it is not such a surprising announcement given the need to turnaround some of the [ANM Group)] financial problems.
